Campaign Against Senator Mitch McConnell

Tonight on Fox News, I was surprised to learn from Brit Hume that Senator Mitch McConnell, in the wake of President Bush’s continued dismissal of the American public’s nearly unified voice, is quoted as saying that he, “remains cautiously optimistic” that a bill can be passed.

I have done everything in my power to persuade this senator to listen to his constituents and rather than creating new laws, to instead, enforce the existing laws. I have phoned his office, faxed his office, emailed his office and written to his office. The only thing left for me to do is to start campaigning against this servant of the public. To that end, I plan to devote a great deal of my time and energy to making sure Senator Mitch McConnell is removed from office in the next election, even if it means voting for a Democrat.

People, the reason our nation is plagued with issues of illegal aliens (they’re not immigrants, for immigrants came here legally) is due to our nation’s failure to enforce existing legislation. Our nation has allowed unfettered access along our southern borders, contrary to policy regarding entry. The U.S. has allowed nearly penalty-free employment of those who would violate its laws. The U.S. has failed miserably at deporting those that enter illegal and as a result, we now have a plague of aliens. There is already a myriad of legislation governing these areas of concern. The only legislation necessary at this time is to build a physical and technologically superior barrier along our borders.

What makes anyone feel secure in believing that any new legislation will result in anything meaningful, except for rewarding those that came to our nation illegally and placing a burden on our economy of gargantuan proportions? Yes, deporting illegal workers will also affect our nation’s economy, but it will not bankrupt our nation, as this immigration bill will.

Some aspects of this bill and its amendments may, on the face of it, sound palatable, but make no mistake about it, the bill is amnesty and it will hurt our nation. Tomorrow, I will be placing an order for bumper stickers that will read, “Senator McConnell supports illegal aliens. Please join me in not supporting his re-election.” I plan to stand on busy corners and pass them out to anyone who is interested. I also plan to start buying ad space in our newspapers with similar messages.

Folks, this is a deadly serious subject. The status of our sovereignty as a nation is at substantial risk. Our prospering nation’s economy could be on the verge of a collapse that would make the fall of the former Soviet Union look like a bad bank transaction. Our lame duck president continues to support this matter despite the outcry of the nation and it is time we send a serious message to our leaders in the form of their careers. I look forward to your continued support in this matter.
