Moving On Up

Okay, I think I have gotten the word out to most of you, but in case I haven’t I will provide you with an update.

We had decided to move back to Peoria, but obviously, that hasn't happened as planned. Lezlie has been looking to get out of pharmaceuticals for some time now. The industry is changing. We foresee government oversight (which is never good) in the future, and recently the industry has provided her with ethical and moral challenges.

She had started a job search when we decided to move back to Illinois and it was fruitless. On a whim, and so she could be closer to her family, I suggested she turn her efforts to the St. Louis area. She received a call in her first week for what promises to be a very rewarding career change.

She will be a product manager for a medical textbook publishing company. This will be a change of pace for her in that she will be in an actual office environment and working office hours. She has been used to setting her own hours, working from home whenever she chose, and traveling a great deal. She is excited about having an office and remaining in the healthcare industry and for the opportunity to put her Master's Degree to good work.

We found a very nice ranch with a walkout basement in Wentzville, Missouri with five bedrooms. It’s about ten minutes from Lezlie’s brother and mom. We absolutely love it and the EMS prospects are good here for me.

Until I am able to obtain employment at an agency I like here, I will continue to commute to Peoria and work for AMT. I will work several days in a row and then take several days off. I have friends in Peoria that I stay with and so far it has worked out nicely.

Anyway, that is the long and the short of it. I hope this serves to clarify our recent moves. Please feel free to come and visit.
