1984

I have recently started reading the book 1984, by George Orwell. This book, apparently, was required reading for many in high school, but I had never heard of it until recently. I'm not much of a reader, so getting me to read anything is big news. However, this is one of those books you just can't put down.

I'm only about sixty pages into the book, but this man, Orwell, had extraordinary insight into socialism early in history. This book was first published in 1949, long before the present threat of socialism in the United States. We're far from the level of socialism in his book, but the first steps have been taken by our present government which really is in control with no means of checks and balance (since they run the POTUS, the House and the Senate).

The democrats have always been about gaining as much federal control over anything they can by labeling it as aid or regulations for whatever the cause of the week is. They're about a hand out, instead of a leg up. When you dole out charity with no emphasis on getting out into the real world and making something of yourself, you eventually subjugate your base into mind numbed puppets.

Forced socialized health care, which promises to bankrupt our nation and destroy the present level of care that most American's enjoy is but the first step. Our right to bear arms are almost certainly going to be in jeopardy. We're watching key political races being stolen by corrupt failed comedians turned to politics (Al Franken). The Presidential race itself was bought and paid for with record levels of KNOWN fraud (ACORN ring any bells). Obama's tax increase to 95% of the American public, will wreak havoc on our recessioned nations political recovery. Basic economics says don't raise taxes when the people already have no money.

Yes, Change has come. Wait, has it? Where is the change? Obama has basically reinstated the entire Clinton cabinet. That's not change...that's more of the same.

But I digress, this is about 1984...

I can tell this is one of those books that are going to give me a lot to blog about. Following this book, I will be reading a book titled, The Legacy of Secrecy, which is a very long book on the JFK assassination.

Stay tuned for more...If you have never read the book 1984, please read it. It will scare you. I am literally frightened (no pun intended). But it will also hopefully stir deep with in you to begin to let your voice be heard so we can take back our Constitution and our Conservative base and restore the faith that the Moderates have robbed from all of Conservatives who feel left without a party any longer. Believe me, there are far more conservatives than moderates and even liberals for that matter. Liberals just do a better job of being heard and advancing their cause than we conservatives do. Hopefully, for you, this book will change your whole outlook on life make you want to engage yourself in holding our elected officials accountable, rather than the day coming where the "thought police" come to round us all up, because we're no longer controllable.

It's late, but you can bet, I'll be doing a whole sermon series on this book alone in future blogs as time permits.

Obese Have Right to Two Airline Seats

OTTAWA (Reuters) – Obese people have the right to two seats for the price of one on flights within Canada, the Supreme Court of Canada ruled on Thursday.

The high court declined to hear an appeal by Canadian airlines of a decision by the Canadian Transportation Agency that people who are "functionally disabled by obesity" deserve to have two seats for one fare.

The airlines had lost an appeal at the Federal Court of Appeal in May and had sought to launch a fresh appeal at the Supreme Court. The court's decision not to hear a new appeal means the one-person-one-fare policy stands.

The appeal had been launched by Air Canada, Air Canada Jazz and WestJet.

This is a dangerous road we're embarking upon. Obese people are functionally disabled, so!? People with social phobia's are functionally disabled, so we should give them a whole plane to themselves, right? There are a whole host of things that make people functionally disabled, but giving people the bonus of two seats does nothing to help curve the obesity or other functional problems. I have no problem with a person buying an extra seat, or a whole row for that matter, but I do take issue with rewarding them for becoming obese to begin with. I am also not in favor of removing a person's right to most things and especially not because their obese, but rewarding them....come on!

Woman Sells Virginity to Highest Bidder

Forget the record number of foreclosures and the escalating rate of unemployment.

Here's the best example yet of the current economic climate: Natalie Dylan is selling her virginity to the highest bidder

"I don't think auctioning my virginity will solve all my problems, but it will create some financial stability," the 22-year-old Sacramento State graduate said. "I'm ready for the controversy... I'm ready to do this."

Dylan says she'll undergo a medical exam in order to prove her purity.

The virgin's goal? To earn one million dollars from the auction, which will take place in Nevada at the Moonlight Bunny Ranch.

"Through this process I'm not just looking for the highest bidder," she said. "I'm looking for someone who is a genuine, overall nice person."

Another fine example of our moral demise in America. When a woman can sell, to the highest bidder, the most precious gift she can give to a future mate, it indicates a huge red flag in our worlds present state of moral health. I am not naive enough to miss the fact that almost no one is a virgin anymore at their wedding, but come on, selling your virtue publicly to the highest bidder!? The worst part is, that she is studying to be a marriage and family counselor. Sounds like the perfect career move for her in light of her foolish and unhealthy decision to sell herself. Just the kind of counselor I'd want my family to see.

Dear Mr. Obama,

Dear Mr. Obama:

On October 24, 2008, a federal judge granted your request to dismiss a lawsuit by Citizen Philip Berg, who challenged your eligibility under the “Natural Born Citizen” clause of the U.S. Constitution to legally hold the office of President of the United States of America.

Mr. Berg presented factual evidence to the Court in support of his claim that you are either a citizen of your father’s native Kenya by birth, or that you became a citizen of Indonesia, relinquishing your prior citizenship when you moved there with your mother in 1967.

In your response to the lawsuit, you neither denied Mr. Berg’s claims nor submitted any evidence which would refute his assertions. Instead, you argued that the Court lacked the jurisdiction to determine the question of your legal eligibility because Mr. Berg lacked “standing.”

Astonishingly, the judge agreed, simply saying, “[Mr. Berg] would have us derail the democratic process by invalidating a candidate for whom millions of people voted and underwent excessive vetting during what was one of the most hotly contested presidential primary [sic] in living memory.”

Unfortunately, your response to the legal claim was clearly evasive and strikingly out of character, suggesting you may, in fact, lack a critical Constitutional eligibility necessary to assume the Office of President: i.e., that you are not a “natural born” citizen of the United States or one who has relinquished his American citizenship.

Before you can exercise any of the powers of the United States, you must prove that you have fully satisfied each and every eligibility requirement that the Constitution mandates for any individual’s exercise of those powers.

Regardless of the tactics chosen in defending yourself against the Berg lawsuit, significant questions regarding your legal capacity to hold this nation’s highest office have been put forth publicly, and you have failed to directly refute them with documentary evidence that is routinely available to any bona fide, natural born U.S. Citizen.

As one who has ventured into the fray of public service of his own volition, seeking to possess the vast powers of the Office of President, you should expect to produce evidence of your citizenship to answer the questions and allay the concerns of the People. Indeed, as the one seeking the office, you are under a moral, legal, and fiduciary duty to proffer such evidence to establish your eligibility as explicitly mandated by Article II of the Constitution.

Should you proceed to assume the office of the President of the United States as anything but a bona fide natural born citizen of the United States that has not relinquished that citizenship, you would be inviting a national disaster, placing our Republic at great risk from untold consequences. For example:

· Neither the Electoral College on December 15, nor the House of Representatives on January 6 would be able to elect you, except as a poseur - a usurper;

· As a usurper, you would be unable to take the required “Oath or Affirmation” of office on January 20 without committing the crime of perjury or false swearing, for being ineligible for the Office of the President you cannot faithfully execute the Office of the President of the United States;

· Your every act in the usurped Office of the President would be a criminal offense as an act under color of law that would subject the People to the deprivation of their constitutional rights, and entitling you to no obedience whatsoever from the People;

· as a usurper acting in the guise of the President you could not function as the Commander in Chief of the Army and Navy and of the militia of the several states, as such forces would be under no legal obligation to remain obedient to you;

· No one in any civilian agency in the Executive Branch would be required to obey any of your proclamations, executive orders or directives, as such orders would be legally VOID;

· Your appointment of Ambassadors and Judges to the Supreme Court would be VOID ab initio (i.e., from the beginning), no matter what subsequent actions the Senate might take as well as rendering any such acts by such appointed officials void as well;

· Congress would not be able to pass any new laws because they would not be able to acquire the signature of a bona fide President, rendering all such legislation legally VOID;

· As a usurper, Congress would be unable to remove you from the Office of the President on Impeachment, inviting certain political chaos including a potential for armed conflicts within the General Government or among the States and the People to effect the removal of such a usurper.

As an attorney and sitting U.S. Senator, I’m sure you agree that our Constitution is the cornerstone of our system of governance. It is the very foundation of our system of Law and Order – indeed, it is the supreme law of the land. I’m sure you also agree that its precise language was no accident and cannot be ignored if Individual, unalienable, natural Rights, Freedoms and Liberties are to be protected and preserved.

As our next potential President, you have a high-order obligation to the Constitution (and to those who have fought and died for our Freedom) that extends far beyond that of securing a majority of the votes of the Electoral College. No matter your promises of change and prosperity, your heartfelt intent or the widespread support you have garnered in seeking the highest Office of the Land, the integrity of the Republic and Rule of Law cannot, -- must not -- be put at risk, by allowing a constitutionally ineligible person to sit, as a usurper, in the Office of the President.

No matter the level of practical difficulty, embarrassment or disruption of the nation’s business, we must -- above all -- honor and protect the Constitution and the divine, unalienable, Individual Rights it guarantees, including the Right to a President who is a natural born citizen of the United States of America that has not relinquished his American citizenship. Our nation has endured similar disruptions in the past, and will weather this crisis as well. Indeed, it is both yours and the People’s mutual respect for, and commitment to, the Constitution and Rule of Law that insures the perpetuation of Liberty.

As a long time defender of my state and federal Constitutions, and in consideration of the lack of sufficient evidence needed to establish your credentials as President, I am compelled to lodge this Petition for Redress of Grievances and public challenge to you.

Make no mistake: This issue IS a Constitutional crisis. Although it will not be easy for you, your family or our Republic, you have it within your ability to halt this escalating crisis by either producing the certified documents establishing beyond question your eligibility to hold the Office of President, or by immediately withdrawing yourself from the Electoral College process.

With due respect, I hereby request that you deliver the following documents to Mr. Berg and myself at the National Press Club in Washington, DC at noon on Monday, November 17, 2008:

(a) a certified copy of your “vault” (original long version) birth certificate;
(b) certified copies of all reissued and sealed birth certificates in the names
Barack Hussein Obama, Barry Soetoro, Barry Obama, Barack Dunham
and Barry Dunham;
(c) a certified copy of your Certification of Citizenship;
(d) a certified copy of your Oath of Allegiance taken upon age of maturity;
(e) certified copies of your admission forms for Occidental College, Columbia
University and Harvard Law School; and
(f) certified copies of any court orders or legal documents changing your name
from Barry Soetoro.

In the alternative, in defense of the Constitution, and in honor of the Republic and that for which it stands, please announce before such time your withdrawal from the 2008 Presidential election process.

For good or for ill, it teaches the whole people by its example. Crime is contagious. If the government becomes a lawbreaker, it breeds contempt for law; it invites every man to become a law unto himself; it invites anarchy.”

A Sad Death

Interesting and sadly true - Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, 'Common Sense', who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons as:Knowing when to come in out of the rain; why the early bird gets the worm; Life isn't always fair; and maybe it was my fault.Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more than you can earn) and reliable strategies (adults, not children, are in charge).

His health began to deteriorate rapidly when well-intentioned but overbearing regulations were set in place. Reports of a 6-year-old boy charged with sexual harassment for kissing a classmate; teens suspended from school for using mouth wash after lunch; and a teacher fired for reprimanding an unruly student, only worsened his condition.

Common Sense lost ground when parents attacked teachers for doing the job that they themselves had failed to do in disciplining their unruly children. It declined even further when schools were required to get parental consent to administer sun lotion or an Aspirin to a student; but could not inform parents when a student became pregnant and wanted to have an abortion.

Common Sense lost the will to live as the churches became businesses; and criminals received better treatment than their victims. Common Sense took a beating when you couldn't defend yourself from a burglar in your own home and the burglar could sue you for assault. Common Sense finally gave up the will to live, after a woman failed to realize that a steaming cup of coffee was hot. She spilled a little in her lap, and was promptly awarded a huge settlement. Common Sense was preceded in death, by his parents, Truth and Trust. His wife, Discretion, his daughter, Responsibility, his son, Reason. He is survived by his 4 stepbrothers; I Know My Rights; I Want It Now; Someone Else Is To Blame; I'm A Victim. Not many attended his funeral because so few realized he was gone. If you still remember him, pass this on. If not, join the majority and do nothing.

Securing Our Borders Is Still The Highest Priority For Me

(CNN) -- Seven members of the Mexican military were found inside the United States on Friday, telling border agents they had become disoriented while on patrol and accidentally crossed into the country, the U.S. Customs and Border Patrol said.

"This is not an uncommon occurrence," Rep. Tom Tancredo, R-Colorado, told CNN. "Often times, it is the result of the Mexican military providing cover essentially for drug transportation across into our country, and/or creating a diversion so it will draw our people away from the place where the drugs are coming across."

In August, the Border Patrol said Mexican troops had crossed the border illegally 42 times since October 2007.

Tancredo said the U.S. State Department lodged a complaint with the Mexican government for the first time over the military incursions a few weeks ago. Attempts by CNN to contact the State Department and the Mexican government Friday were unsuccessful.

These excerpts from a CNN article today concern me greatly. If you can ACCIDENTALLY cross our border and enter our country, then our national security and our sovereignty as a nation remain in jeopardy.

In this time of global conflict, shoring up our porous borders should be among the highest priorities. This is dangerous, reckless, and poor leadership. Equally concerning to me, is the fact that neither one of the presidential candidates will take this issue seriously or do anything to shore up the fence, despite the American public speaking so loudly about it. When we leave Iraq prematurely and take the pressure off, they will surely bring the fight to us. I promise you, they will use our open borders to enter our country and afflict great harm on our own soil. It's not a question of "if," It's a question of "when?"
